The Taronga Western Plains Zoo is commonly called the Dubbo Zoo and is located near Dubbo in New South Wales. The Zoo was opened in 1977 and is run by the Taronga Conservation Society. The Zoo is home to more than 1,000 animals including the Black Swan, Australian Pelican, White-handed Gibbon, Spider Monkey, Black Rhinoceros, Ostrich, etc and is spread across a large area of 741 acres.
